Performed as part of Digital in Berlin's Kiezsalon series in the historic 19th-century water reservoir. Whirl of Doom references the phenomenon of ant mills, where ants, trapped in circular motion, spiral toward exhaustion—a sonic meditation on futility and repetition.

Over a 60-day residency, Jason developed and showcased an audio-visual story depicting El Niño's impact on lives in mid-western Nepal in 1952. The work forms part of the forthcoming book Treasure Hoard, expanding his exploration of history, memory, and sound.

Performance with Jason's ensemble Night, presenting multidisciplinary projects based on his debut novel Ramite (2021). These concerts fused literature, music, and dance to create unique Himalayan cosmos experiences in two of Germany's most renowned concert halls.

Collaborations with Berlin-based artists Ranav Adhikari and Turi Leng Seong explored sound experimentation across traditional Nepalese and Tibetan music fused with electronic elements, celebrating both the fact and fantasy of Himalayan life through songs, stories, and melodies. The resulting works were performed at the Ultima Festival in Oslo and the Spor Festival in Aarhus.

Supported by the International Collaboration Grant (ICG), Samas brought together four UK artists (Mark Fell, Rian Treanor, Jan Hendrickse, Aiden Hendrickse) and four Nepalese artists (Jason Kunwar, Sugama Guatam, Sudhir Acharya, Alex Ferguson). The collaboration explored a wide range of performance styles, merging Nepalese folk traditions with the ambient soundscapes of Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Jason participated in the OneBeat music program, joining 25 musicians from 17 countries to collaboratively write, produce, and perform original works. An initiative of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with New York’s Bang on a Can / Found Sound Nation, the tour featured performances across the U.S. South.
